Doctrine as a Tool

Doctrine is the tool that leads to proper understanding which in turn, leads to Godly wisdom.  Some, however need to realize that as a tool, it is not a hammer to bludgeon people into some form of compliance.  God reveals Himself in moments of acceptance brought upon by sincere prayer, self-denial, and open-hearted acceptance of His truth.  A hammer cannot be used to mend a hardened heart... It can only serve to break it.
